The Knife is the staple melee weapon in the Counter-Strike series. It is available to all players by default, except in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive while playing Danger Zone, where it can be acquired from tool crates. The knife cannot be dropped, except in Global Offensive in the Danger Zone game mode or while the console command mp_drop_knife_enable is enabled.
